One area of my photography that I do want to mention is the subject matter. If I was to be honest with myself, at the very beginning, photography is really just a good excuse to get outside and ramble in the meadows and woods. Getting older, what photography has done for me is made me look closer at my surroundings and in the process realize that nature has a great deal to offer other than what might be seen at first glance.
Although I have enjoyed the outdoors for a long time, it wasn't until I got into photography that I really took notice of my surroundings. The intricacies of the natural world no matter where we live are so easy to overlook. Unless we really look and observe our surroundings a lot of neat stuff can be missed. Perhaps if more people would take notice of what we have, more people would realize how important the natural world really is to all of us.
