It has been raining all day long ! Although we were in a supposed scenic area, landscape was dull and blocked. We were on Petersville road. It leads west and north from trapper Creek on the Parks Highway through a homestead area notable for its mountain views. This road is a logical and convenient stop for travelers, particularly those headed for Denali National Park...

Except that on that day, No view at all ! Thick clouds, constant drenching rain, our spirit was kind of morose.

To me, there is always something to discover, because Beauty is everywhere in Nature. Since fascination does not jump to your eyes, have your eyes search for fascination... Lower your eyes, change your point of view, access other perspectives and get a fresh look on what surrounds you !

I think there's a process that leads to making fresh images. First, one needs to find a strong but simple composition, with great light, then ... click the shutter. Now , keep in mind it's just the beginning... Keep on, push beyond that first exposure and experiment. Try to disrupt what seems to be the logical, the conventional view... Try using more sky or no sky at all, try a longer lens, try isolating the subject by withdrawing anything that can confuse the message... The simplest, the better...

You've to be modest, do not think each photo you do will be an Ansel Adam's landscape ! Learn to be intimate, stay candid...

OK, I was wet as a soup, crawling and creeping in the wet swamps but, I thought that, maybe, I had the "photo of the day..."
